  • Material: Typically made from carbon steel, such as grade 8.8 yellow zinc-plated carbon steel hex bolts, but can also be produced using alloy steel.
  • Performance Grade: Common grades include 4.8, 5.8, 8.8, 10.9, 12.9, etc. Grade 8.8 and above are high-strength bolts. For example, grade 8.8 bolts have a minimum tensile strength of 800MPa, while grade 10.9 bolts have a minimum tensile strength of 1000MPa.
  • Excellent Corrosion Resistance: The zinc layer acts as a barrier, preventing air and moisture from contacting the steel substrate. It also forms a protective layer on the surface that can repair minor scratches, effectively protecting the substrate from corrosion. In general environments, its corrosion resistance surpasses that of white zinc plating.
  • Good Decorative Aesthetics: The yellow zinc plating layer has a golden-yellow luster with a glossy surface, offering high decorative value and enhancing the visual appeal of the bolt.
  • Strong Adhesion: The plating layer adheres firmly to the substrate, ensuring durability and reliability during use without peeling or flaking.
  • Cost-Effective: It provides good protection at a relatively low cost, making it an economical choice for corrosion resistance.
  • Pre-Installation Inspection: Check the bolt's appearance for defects such as cracks, burrs, or thread deformation. Ensure the thread tolerance meets requirements and that the bolt and nut fit well.
  • Correct Installation Methods: Use appropriate tools like wrenches or sockets to tighten the bolts. Avoid excessive force to prevent thread damage or bolt breakage. For high-strength bolts, follow specified preload values and tighten in stages.
  • Maintenance During Use: Regularly inspect the bolts for looseness or corrosion. Tighten any loose bolts promptly. If corrosion occurs, remove rust and apply anti-corrosion treatment. In harsh environments, consider applying anti-rust oil or grease to enhance corrosion resistance.
