Use a variable-speed driver (max 2 000 rpm) with a clean PZ2 bit. No pilot needed up to 38 mm total thickness. For hardwood edges or timber, pre-drill 2 mm pilot and reduce torque 25 %. Always maintain 10 mm minimum edge distance. Stainless steel is softer than hardened carbon—apply steady pressure and avoid “hammer” mode.
