Product Details
This is a standard type of elastic cylindrical locking pin, also known as a spring pin, rolled elastic pin or slit pin sleeve. It is made from 65Mn spring steel or 304 stainless steel strip through precise rolling and heat treatment. The surface is treated with natural blue color, galvanization or stainless steel passivation. The product is in a thin-walled cylindrical shape, with a long rectangular opening along the axial direction. It achieves interference fit with the mating hole by relying on the elastic deformation of the material. When the pin body is pushed into the hole, the opening contracts, causing the outer diameter to decrease. The material's elastic rebound force generates uniform radial pressure on the hole wall, forming a reliable friction locking. This "elastic self-tightening, no need for processing slots" design makes it an economical and universal positioning element for replacing solid pins and keyway pins, and is widely used in rapid assembly and anti-loosening positioning in fields such as mechanical equipment, automotive electronics, tooling and fixtures, furniture hardware, etc.
Vertical elastic opening structure
Uniform through-longitudinal slots are set along the axis, with the slot width being approximately 10% to 15% of the circumference. This enables the circular tube to undergo radial elastic compression, and after being pressed into the hole, it will rebound and open, forming a 360-degree full circumferential contact pressure. The load distribution is uniform without stress concentration.
Multi-layer wall rolled design
The standard type is single-layer rolled, while the heavy type is double-layer or triple-layer rolled. The layers can slide relative to each other. When subjected to impact loads, energy is dissipated through inter-layer friction, and its vibration and fatigue resistance performance is superior to solid pins.
Bevel introduction end
Both ends have 15° to 30° internal and external bevels, which facilitate automatic alignment when pushed into the hole, and the compression deformation is smooth without sticking. The assembly force is only 30% to 50% of that required to press the solid pin.
Continuous elastic deformation capability
The material undergoes quenching and tempering treatment, with a high elastic limit. It can be repeatedly disassembled 5 to 10 times while still maintaining sufficient clamping force, making it suitable for occasions requiring frequent maintenance.
Standardized size series
The outer diameter and length are classified according to international standards such as ISO 8752, DIN 1481, and GB/T 879. The diameter tolerance band is m6, forming a light interference with H7 holes, and no additional processing of keyways or pin holes is required.
Assembly is simple and efficient.
No precise alignment of the pin hole direction is required. Just push it in at any angle. The assembly time is only 1/5 of that of traditional cylindrical pins. It is suitable for rapid insertion in automated production lines and significantly improves overall efficiency.
Cost is economical and low.
The rolled process has a high material utilization rate, and the production cost is low. The unit price is only 1/3 to 1/2 of the solid positioning pin. The cost reduction effect is obvious when used in large quantities.
Excellent vibration and loosening prevention
The elastic pressure continuously acts on the pin hole wall, and no fitting gap is generated under vibration conditions. It naturally has the ability to prevent loosening, and no additional anti-loosening washers or pins are required.
Strong tolerance compensation capability
The elastic deformation can absorb the manufacturing error of the hole diameter. The tolerance band of the mating hole can be relaxed to H9, reducing the processing accuracy requirements of the connected parts and reducing the scrap rate.
No damage during disassembly and reusable
Using a punch to strike from one end, it can be ejected without damaging the surface of the mating hole. The pin body can be reused multiple times, and the maintenance cost is lower than that of one-time used opening pins or conical pins.
Automobile chassis connection
