Turkey's installed PV capacity exceeded 20GW
After surpassing the 2025 target of 19GW in August last year, Turkey's PV capacity has maintained rapid growth. According to Turkish local media reports, as of February 16, Turkey's solar power generation has reached 20.4GW, an increase of 39.3% over the same period last year. The Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources said that the proportion of photovoltaic facilities in the total power generation capacity of 116.6GW was 17.5%, compared to 13.8% on February 16, 2024.
