The Gambafo Photovoltaic, Storage and Biomass Microgrid Project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has achieved full capacity commissioning and power transmission.

Recently, the Guibofu photovoltaic, storage and biomass micro-grid project designed by Hubei Engineering Company was fully put into operation and power transmission. This project is an important application demonstration of photovoltaic, storage and biomass micro-grid technology in the African mining sector. It is located in the Upper Katanga Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It plans to build a 27-megawatt peak photovoltaic power plant, equipped with a 21.25-megawatt/85-megawatt-hour energy storage system, and adopts a "photovoltaic-biomass-electricity-storage" complementary mode.
