Since the current government took office in Iran, the installed capacity of renewable energy power generation has increased by 157%.
Recently, it was reported that when this government came to power, Iran's installed capacity of renewable energy power generation was 1,230 megawatts. By the end of November 2025, it had increased to 3,165 megawatts, a staggering 157% growth. Markazi Province had 459 megawatts, followed by Isfahan and Yazd. There are over 600 renewable energy projects under construction across the country, and they are expected to be operational by the end of September 2026.
