Qatar: 4 GW of centralized solar power installed by 2030
Recently, the relevant person in charge of Qatar Hydropower Company said in an interview that according to the third stage of Qatar's national development strategy, the installed capacity of centralized solar power generation will reach 4 GW by 2030, and the installed capacity of distributed power generation will reach 200 MW. Qatar is rich in solar energy resources, the amount of radiation in the world, the annual power generation potential per square meter of more than 2,000 KWH. At present, Qatar has about 800 MW of installed capacity of centralized photovoltaic solar power (875 MW under construction) and about 9 MW of distributed installed capacity.
