Preliminary preparations for Kambara No.1 Hydropower Station will be completed by the end of April.

According to a report from Kyrgyzstan Economist Network on April 16, Kyrgyz Energy Minister Ibraev stated during a meeting with Charles Cormier, World Bank Regional Infrastructure Manager in Washington, that major preliminary preparations for Kambarata No.1 Hydropower Station are set to be finished by late April. The two sides exchanged views on project progress, technology, ecological protection and financing. Minister Ibraev said construction of two 800-meter tunnels will kick off once preparations wrap up this April. Dam and main powerhouse construction will follow tunnel completion. The project bears strategic significance for Kyrgyzstan's energy independence and regional sustainable development. Charles Cormier remarked the scheme ranks high on the World Bank's priority list in Kyrgyzstan, pledging to accelerate its advancement.

Industry technical experts pointed out that Kambarata No.1 Hydropower Station is located in a high-humidity, strongly corrosive environment, requiring high-performance corrosion-resistant fasteners for key connections. Our duplex stainless steel bolts and nuts, with yield strength about twice that of ordinary austenitic stainless steel and excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, can effectively cope with the complex working conditions of hydropower stations and ensure long-term safety and reliability of the project.
