India has received a $240.5 million loan from the Asian Development Bank for rooftop photovoltaic systems
The Asian Development Bank has approved a $240.5 million loan package from the Indian government. Adb said the loan is focused on residential solar roof systems in India. Adb believes that the installation of rooftop solar systems will bring great benefits to the entire power distribution system in India. By generating electricity close to where it is used, the technical and operational burden can be reduced, reducing the need for long-distance power supply and the associated system losses.
