China provides 5,000 sets of household solar energy equipment to Cuba

According to foreign media reports, on November 10th, the delivery ceremony of Chinese aid equipment for Cuban households' solar power projects was held in the Mariel Development Zone of Cuba. Chinese Ambassador to Cuba Hua Xin, First Deputy Minister of the Cuban Ministry of Energy and Mines Abad, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Rivas, among others, attended the event.

It is reported that the 5,000 sets of solar energy equipment donated this time all have a capacity of 2,000 watt-hours and are equipped with batteries. They can supply power to multiple household appliances such as refrigerators, televisions and lights throughout the day. They will mainly be used to support the electricity supply for families in remote areas of the ancient countryside, and help the eastern regions affected by the "Melissa" hurricane to carry out post-disaster reconstruction. The project was completed from signing the contract to the arrival of the supplies in just four months, fully demonstrating the efficiency of the cooperation between the two countries. Abad thanked the Chinese government for its continuous support, saying that this move will directly improve the quality of life of thousands of Cuban families.
