The Iranian Ministry of Energy has set a target of 11 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity by the summer of next year.

On October 29th, it was reported that Iranian Energy Minister Ali Abadi announced during a trade show that the Ministry of Energy has set a plan with the goal of building a 7-gigawatt renewable energy power station and 3-gigawatt energy storage equipment in the country by the end of the current Islamic year (before March 20, 2026); and a 11-gigawatt renewable energy power station by the summer of next year.
