According to a report by foreign media on September 22nd, Africa's first floating photovoltaic power station was officially put into operation recently at the Oued Rmel dam adjacent to the Tangier-Mediterranean Port. It is known that this project was led by the Moroccan Ministry of Equipment and Water Resources, and was jointly implemented by the Oued Loukkos Water Authority and several public and private institutions. It consists of approximately 22,000 photovoltaic modules and covers an area of 10 hectares of water.
