  • Thread Standard: DIN933 hex bolts use the metric thread system, with coarse threads being the most common. The thread tolerance class is generally 6g.
  • Head Shape: Features a hexagonal head design, making it easy to grip with tools such as wrenches or sockets, facilitating installation and tightening.
  • Full-Thread Design: The bolt is fully threaded from the head to the end, offering a larger thread contact area and greater adjustment range. This makes it suitable for installations requiring longer thread engagement lengths and varying thicknesses of mounting surfaces.
  • Material: Typically made of carbon steel, it can also be produced using alloy steel or stainless steel to meet specific performance requirements.
  • Performance Grade: Common performance grades include 4.8, 5.8, 8.8, 10.9, 12.9, etc. Grade 8.8 and above are high-strength bolts. For instance, the tensile strength of a grade 8.8 bolt is no less than 800MPa, while the tensile strength of a grade 10.9 bolt is no less than 1000MPa.
HDG refers to hot-dip galvanizing, a surface treatment process where the bolt is immersed in molten zinc to form a zinc coating on its surface. The advantages of HDG DIN933 hex bolts include:
  • Strong Corrosion Resistance: The zinc layer effectively prevents air and moisture from contacting the base material, resisting corrosion from moisture, salt spray, and other chemicals. This makes it particularly suitable for coastal, high-humidity, and acidic environments.
  • Long Service Life: In outdoor environments, the galvanized layer can last 20–50 years with minimal maintenance.
  • Durable Zinc Layer: The zinc layer bonds firmly to the base material, is resistant to peeling, and can withstand impacts.
  • Cost-Effective: Compared to stainless steel bolts, HDG bolts are more affordable while offering similar corrosion resistance.
